Service
The majority of Moore's service to the Gaylord College of Journalism and Mass Communication as the University of Oklahoma has been to mentoring and advising the research of undergraduate and graduate students and improving the strategic communications area (advertising and public relations). She has worked with undergraduate researchers toward acceptance and presentation at the International Public Relations Research Conference, a highly competitive peer-reviewed research conference. In addition, Moore serves on approximately 10 graduate student committees each year and coordinates syllabi, student learning outcomes, and outcome measurement of two core courses in the public relations curriculum. Finally, she oversees the assessment of the entire Gaylord College undergraduate program (advertising, journalism, creative media production, professional writing, and public relations) toward ACEJMC accreditation.
While at LSU the majority of Moore's time was spent mentoring students in the public relations program. She mentored many Distinguished Communicator students in the Communication Across the Curriculum (CxC) program at LSU and worked with several undergraduate students on Honors Thesis research projects. She also served as the faculty advisor for Public Relations Student Society of America at LSU (PRSSA) and the student-run PR firm, imPRint Communications.
